On Monday (M10), you’ll be working through a tutorial on PostgreSQL and pgAdmin. In preparation, you should complete the software installation instructions prior to coming to class. These instructions walk through installing VMware Workstation Player, Ubuntu 18.04 in a virtual machine (VM), and all the software that we’ll use for the remainder of the course in that VM.

Should you encounter an issue when installing any of this software, I will be available during class to answer questions and troubleshoot specific problems. Nevertheless, class is not the time to start this process – I expect everyone to be ready to work on the PostgreSQL tutorial at the start of class unless you’ve previously encountered a problem.

As a reminder, the first graded review (GR) is next week. I will be happy to answer specific questions that you have during Monday’s class, but I am not setting aside time to review all the material to date.
