As most of you are undoubtedly aware, the automated tests for the web development programming exercise (PEX) are not currently working. GitHub deprecated the Ubuntu 18.04 image being used for the automated testing in August 2022, and the image is completely unsupported (read: no longer available for use) as of yesterday. Unfortunately, the scheduled downtimes (see actions/runner-images#6002) intended to make users aware of the image’s impending removal did not coincide with the periods in which I checked the automated tests earlier in the semester.

I have a fix for this issue, but I have not had an opportunity to push the change to everyone’s repository. Consequently, there will be an extension of 1 lesson for the due date of the web development PEX – i.e., it will be due Friday instead of tomorrow.
